Who it's for: Surfers who like the speed and release of a twin but want more hold on steeper faces and longer walls.
Waves and feel: 2-5ft beachbreaks and points. Easy entry, fast trim and smooth arcs, with enough bite to turn in the pocket.

A low rocker, down rails and a winged round pin keep the Kana fast, then give it purchase when the board is on rail.
Bottom
Single into double between the fins, then V off the tail for lift, hold and smooth rail-to-rail transitions.
Rails
Lower down rails add sensitivity and hold through the tail, with enough foam through the deck to keep the board easy to paddle.
Outline
A generous width at the front carries speed through parallel curves, then the wing shortens the rail line into a round pin tail so the board can pivot more easily.
Tail
Round pin settles the board through longer turns and adds hold when the face gets steeper.

Can I order this model without a Design Session?
Yes. Choose one of the listed dimensions and order it directly from this page. Use a Design Session only when you want to change the specification or add decorations, change colour, or make another custom change.
What makes a Yugen board different?
Every Yugen model is designed for a clear purpose: to help a surfer create a specific feeling or make progress toward a specific goal. The range combines surfboard design knowledge with practical experience in surfing skills development.
What materials are used in the standard build?
We use premium polyurethane foam blanks, E-GLASS fiberglass and polyester resin for all our boards.
How durable is a Yugen fiberglass board?
We focus on careful craftsmanship and select premium materials for the intended build. Like any fiberglass surfboard, its life also depends on how it is surfed, transported and stored. Direct impacts, excessive heat and water entering an unrepaired ding can shorten its life. You will receive specific care instructions when you place your order.
How are Yugen boards shaped?
Each board begins with its 3D design and is precision CNC cut, then finished by hand. We believe that precision at the time of manufacturing ensures the board behaves the way it was intended and keeps consistency high.
